Side business

If you were to start a side business what would you do? Would you develop a new product. Research, development, a business model, marketing and more variables could be critical in the success of the company. An established product or series of established products have a greater likelihood of selling but would it be profitable to sell them. Would it become a grind to make a sale? If so, how do you plan to move forward when you are grinding every day?
