Depp as Thompson

Johnny Depp is going to play Hunter S. Thompson again in The Rum Diary. I watched a movie called Withnail & I last week. I had never really heard of the movie but I saw it on the torrent site. Now this week I hear the director of that is directing The Rum Diary. Magic?
